MATERIALS:
US I/9 5.50MM HOOK
2 strands of Yarn Held Together #4 Worsted weight
CH3 & CH2 are NOT Counted as a stitch throughout pattern
RND 1: ch3, 11dc
in third ch from hook join with sl st to top of first dc. (11dc)
RND 2: ch2, 2dc
in same st, 2dc in each st around, join with sl st to top of first dc. (22dc)
RND 3: ch2, 2dc
in same st, 1dc in next st, *2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, * (repeat between
the *s around) join with sl st to top of first dc. (33dc)
RND 4: ch2, 2dc
in same st, 1dc in next 2 sts, *2dc in next st, 1dc in next 2 sts, * (repeat
between the *s around) join with sl st to top of first dc. (44dc)
RND 5: ch2, 2dc
in same st, 1dc in next 3 sts, *2dc in next st, 1dc in next 3 sts, * (repeat

with a sl st in the marked 7th stitch to left of rear center with
hat upside down and right side out. Ch2, dc in same st, dc in each of next 11

with a sl st in the stitch you joined RND 12 together at)ch1, 1sc in same st,
1sc in each st around, do 4sc at points of ear flaps to keep them from bunching
up, join with sl st to top of first sc. Leave a tail of at least 18”
Attach 2 36” folded strands of yarn by doing a slip stitch
just above where the long tails are on each ear flap.
Separate all 6 strands in to 3 sets of two strands each and Braid until length you want and tie a single knot then clip ends about 3 inches beyond knot.
